![]() It was a perfect day! I’m so blessed to have such a deep connection with Hawaii. In June of 2011, Ryan and I were married in Maui, at sunset overlooking the ocean. We are always on the path of constant and never-ending improvement. I had a purpose, and direction now and knew this was the path I was meant to be on and to help others on their own journeys. I felt more alive then I ever had, and my body was starting to heal itself. I had more energy and this cloud of depression just began to lift away. And guess what? I started feeling better! I started losing weight finally, when I wasn’t really focused on it. From anything I used on my skin & hair to around the house, if it wasn’t organic or natural it was thrown out. Together we immersed ourselves in these wonderful products, began a clean diet again, dove into educating ourselves into natural living and cut out all the other things in our surrounding life that were harming our, and especially my health. We seized the opportunity and took off running on our own business adventures. After a while of this fog I was in, an opportunity came up to work with an amazing wildcrafted skincare line, which was handmade in my hometown in Colorado. I had gained so much weight and had so many health issues, it just wasn’t me. My diet lacked proper nutrition at that point and I used “professional salon quality” hair products & cosmetics. ![]() I was unhappy with my life direction and myself. ![]() I graduated and became a licensed professional in Arizona, but it didn’t take long to realize that being in a salon wasn’t really what my heart desired. Being in college was a time of just getting through each day, and taking care of my health became a non-priority for me at the time. Ryan studdied finance at Arizona State, and I was at TONI&GUY where I studied all forms of cosmetology. When I was old enough to to venture out on my own, I joined him in Arizona where we both went to school full time. I met my other half at the tender age of 16 and we spent a year apart while he went to school in another state. Living natural was a way of life for my family, and was something unfamiliar for Ryan. Ryan was captain of is basketball team and grew up on processed foods and traditional medicine. I was a home-schooled, un-vaxed, organic food-eating girl raised in Colorado and Maui. ![]() Many of the blog posts here that you will find were written by Jill and we intend to keep her entries available to everyone as they are all important and very informative. She decided to close this particular chapter in her life, and pass her “baby” to us as we continue on the growth of this wonderful company. She started LEB as a place to share her knowledge, love and passion for for skin care, nutrition and overall health and well-being. Living Earth Beauty was founded by a wonderful woman named Jill. “We want to encourage men to challenge the unhealthy, unrealistic ideas society holds about masculinity,” O’Connell said, “and redefine what masculinity means in 2018.” Once his campaign reaches £20,000 ($27,510), O’Connell plans to develop outdoor “urban gyms” in low-income areas in Bristol, and at the £25,000 ($37,387) stretch goal, he plans to launch his own youth-mentoring program.Hello! My name is Alicia, me and my husband Ryan are the owners of Living Earth Beauty. The entrepreneur hopes that sales of these items will generate £10,000 ($13,755)-20 percent of which O’Connell will donate to local charities that support men’s mental health-to help him develop other items to add to the Kings brand. “I feel strongly that we need to open up the conversation and address them to live healthier and happier lives.” Kings’ first product is a vegan, palm oil-free aftershave that O’Connell is selling, along with ethically made t-shirts, on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. “There’s still a huge stigma with young men when it comes to dealing with mental health issues,” O’Connell told local media outlet Bristol Post. United Kingdom-based entrepreneur Blue O’Connell launched men’s grooming brand Kings this week as a way to help dispel negative stereotypes associated with men’s mental health issues, a struggle he experienced after battling social anxiety and panic attacks.
